The Miami Lakes Inn & Golf Club Par-3 Course opened in 1963 with 18 illuminated holes, par 54, over 2,052 yards.
In 1992, Miami Lakes Inn & Golf Club Par-3 Course was renamed as Shula's Hotel and Golf Club - Par 3 Course.
After Hurricane Wilma in 2005, the decision was made to no longer use the Shula's Hotel and Golf Club - Par 3 Course after the storm cleanup was complete.
In April, 2015, the 30 acres of the Shula's Hotel and Golf Club - Par 3 Course was donated to the City of Miami Lakes to be used as a park.
