Notes

The visionary of The Country Club of Miami was Guy Bailey.

The Country Club of Miami - West Course began construction in December 1960 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones.

The Country Club of Miami - West Course opened in October 1962 with 18 holes, par 72, 6927 yards.

In 1989, the City of Miami purchased the Country Club of Miami for $8.7M and contracted the PGA Tour to run the facility and renovate the golf courses under Bobby Weed to the tune of $4M. The PGA Tour changed the name of the facility to the Golf Club of Miami. The Golf Club of Miami - West Course was now 18 holes, par 72, 7017 yards.

After major financial losses, the City of Miami removed the PGA Tour in August 1994, but waited until around 2000 to change the name of the facility back to the Country Club of Miami.

Currently, the Country Club of Miami - West Course is 18 holes, par 72, 7017 yards and is the course with all the history, as it was the former host to many previous tournaments including PGA and Senior PGA events.
