Notes

James Bright of the Curtiss-Bright company, started building the Hialeah Golf Course in 1922 under the plans of golf architects Langford & Moreau and O.S. Baker and by 1923, 9 holes were completed and the golf course was opened.

The group from Miami called the Miami Coconuts were instrumental in getting the City of Miami, its first municipal golf course. The 9-hole golf course was included in a deal that included a water reservation and was dontated to the City of Miami in 1924 with the provision that it remain a golf course forever. Glenn Curtiss of the Curtiss-Bright company offered to finance the entire 18-hole construction. The 18-hole golf course called the Miami-Hialeah Municipal Golf Course opened in 1924.

On the golf course's website it claims Thomas 'Tubby' Martin designed the golf course?

In 1926, the Miami-Hialeah Municipal Golf Course was renamed the Municipal Links at the Country Club Estates since it was located in the newly incorporated Country Club Estates.

In 1930, Country Club Estates changed the name of the city to Miami Springs and the golf course was known as the Miami Municipal Golf Course.

In the late 1930's the golf course was also known as the Red Road Golf Course with its location on Red Road (now known as Florida State Road 959).

By 1940, it became known as the Miami Springs Municipal Golf Course.

In 1964, the front 9 holes were renovated with 3 holes redesigned increasing the golf course by 258 yards and changing it from a par 70 to a par 71.

In the early 1970's, the course was known as City of Miami Golf Course at Miami Springs with a layout of 18/71/6730.

In 1997, the facility was sold to the City of Miami Springs and became known as the Miami Springs Golf & Country Club.
