Notes

The visionary of the Normandy Isle Golf Course was the City of Miami Beach when the land was donated to the city by M.C. Gryzmish on January 4, 1928.

The City of Miami Beach orginally had plans drawn up by Herbert Charles Tippet for its Normandy Isle Golf Course in 1929, but the depression caused a delay in the project.

Normandy Isle Golf Course construction began in the 1937 and the course eventually opened on December 15, 1941. The Normandy Isle Golf Course was designed by William S. Flynn, Robert Taylor and Charles Perrocher who amended Tippet's earlier work.

The Normandy Isle Golf Course didn't stay open for long as the Army used the course during WWII.

In 1956, the City of Miami Beach hired golf course architect Mark Mahannah to redesign Normandy Isle Golf Course and and when it reopened it was known as the Normandy Shore Golf Club.

By 1960, the Normandy Shore Golf Club was known as the Normandy Shores Golf Club.

Normandy Shores Golf Club closed in 2002 and eventually a redesign by Arthur Hills started in September 2007 with the course reopening in 2008.
