Hugh Anderson, who was the visionary of the city of Miami Shores, was the visionary behind the Miami Shore Village Golf and Country Club.
Designed in 1926 by Donald Ross, the Miami Shores Village Golf and Country Club finally opened in 1939 under the amended designs of Robert F. 'Red' Lawrence and Louis Wilson.
By 1940 it was known as the Miami Shores Country Club.
In 1962, Miami Shores Country Club was renovated.
In 2011, Miami Shores Country Club underwent a major renovation by Sandford Golf Design.
