The visionary of the Aventura Country Club - South Course was Donald Soffer, 1967.
The Aventura Country Club - North Course opened in 1972 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Rees Jones with a layout of 18 holes, par 70, 6403 yards.
In 1980, it was renamed to: Turnberry Isle Resort & Country Club - North Course.
In 2004, it was renamed to: Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club - North Course.
The course underwent a Raymond Floyd renovation and re-opened in December 2007 with a layout of 18 holes, par 70, 6417 yards and was renamed to: Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club - Miller Course.
In 2011, it was renamed to: Turnberry Isle Miami - Miller Course and currently has a layout of 18 holes, par 70, 6323 yards.
