Notes

Construction on the Golf Club of Miami - South Course began in 1989 when the PGA Tour came on board to run the Country Club of Miami. The PGA Tour changed the name of the facility to the Golf Club of Miami.

The Golf Club of Miami - South Course was built on the old footprint of the abandoned Country Club of Miami - South Course which was in it's heyday, a regulation 18-hole golf course. The Golf Club of Miami - South Course was built as an 18-hole, par 62 executive course over 4240 yards. Bobby Weed, of the PGA Tour, designed the course and $4.1M was spent constructing the course. The course probably opened in 1990.

When the PGA Tour agreement ended in 1994, the Golf Club of Miami - South Course was shut down. The City of Miami resumed control of the Golf Club of Miami - South Course and ran it for a short time and finally closed it on April 15, 1996 where it has sat abandoned since.
