The original West Palm Beach Country Club was built on the site of the Palm Beach International Airport and opened in 1921. A need for an expanded airport during WWII brought a close to that location.
A new course designed by Dick Wilson was opened in 1947. The West Palm Beach Country Club has played host to the PGA West Palm Beach Open Invitational.
Mark McCumber restored the West Palm Beach Golf Course in 2009.
