The City of Lake Worth hired the firm of Langford and Moreau to design their municipal golf course in 1923 and about 80% of the course was dredged. The 9-hole Lake Worth Municipal Golf Course opened on November 12, 1926.
In 1948, Dick Wilson redesigned the original 9-holes and designed an additional 9 holes.
