Notes

The City of Delray Beach purchased the land for a golf course in 1923. The 9-hole Delray Golf Club opened on January 1, 1926 and was designed by Donald Ross. In 1927, the City of Delray changed its name to Delray Beach and so the name of the golf course was renamed as the Delray Beach Golf Club in the same year.

The Delray Beach Golf Club was closed during WWII, from 1942 to 1945 and when the course reopened in 1945, the City of Delray Beach decided to expand the course to 18 holes which debuted in 1950. The original Donald Ross layout is now the back 9 of the course while the front 9 was designed by Dick Wilson.

In 1964, the golf course was sold to a private owner and in 1965, a 3rd 9-hole course was added and designed by Red Lawrence and Robert Bruce Harris. In 1978, the City of Delray Beach repurchased the original 18 holes and third 9-hole course was closed down.
