Notes
Cylojet Investments started the Crooked Creek development in 1964 and ran into problems. Bernard Janis purchased the Crooked Creek development in 1967 and finished the first 9 holes of the Crooked Creek Golf and Country Club in late 1967. The second 9 holes were completed by 1969. Since Bob Cupp was the first golf pro at Crooked Creek, and was the architect of many golf courses, I am assuming that he was the designer of Crooked Creek Golf and Country Club.
In January 1972, Bernard Janis sold Crooked Creek Golf and Country Club to Metro Dade's Park & Recreation Department. At this time, Crooked Creek Country Club had a layout of 18 holes, par 71, 6514 yards.
In 1979, NFLer Ted Hendricks (aka The Stork) purchased Crooked Creek Country Club. Crooked Creek Golf Course lost money and Hendricks closed the golf course in early 1983. He wanted to turn the golf course into building lots but there was a covenent against this occurring and the golf course remained abandoned until about 1990.
From an estimated period of 1990 to 1993, the golf course was known as Kendall Golf Club.
From an estimated period of 1993 to 1999, the golf course was known as Kendall Greens.
By around 1999, the golf course was known as Killian Greens Golf Club, and it currently has a layout of 18 holes, par 72, 6449 yards.
